The triple-foldable Mate XT smartphone from Huawei has been formally introduced in China. With its three display modes, this innovative smartphone offers a seamless experience for productivity, entertainment, and multitasking, pushing the boundaries of versatility for foldable phones.
Huawei triple-foldable Mate XT specifications and features
In addition to a big 10.2-inch tablet screen with a 3K resolution, the Huawei Mate XT has three screens: a 7.9-inch 2K dual display, a 6.4-inch single screen when folded. When fully unfolded, the foldable is incredibly thin, measuring only 3.6mm. It may be a Kirin SoC, albeit the business hasn’t disclosed any information about the chipset. Harmony OS 4.2 is preinstalled on the foldable phone.
The Huawei Mate XT has four cameras: a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 12-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor with 5.5x magnification, an OIS-enabled 50MP primary camera, and a variable aperture range of f/1.4–f/4.0. For taking selfies and video chats, we have an 8MP camera on the front.
The Kirin 9 series chipset is anticipated to provide strong performance; although its precise specifications are unknown, this should make the Mate XT a competitive device in the foldable market. The phone is powered by Huawei’s own operating system, HarmonyOS 4.2, which offers improved user experience and optimum performance.
The pricing of the Huawei Mate XT is RMB 19,999 (about Rs 2,36,200) for the 16GB+256GB model, RMB 21,999 (roughly Rs 2,59,800) for the 16GB+512GB version, and RMB 23,999 (roughly Rs 2,83,400) for the 16GB+1TB unit. The phone comes in two color options: red and black.
