HP Pro x360 435 G9 with AMD Barcelo-U delivers convertible freedom to hybrid work at CES 2022

At CES 2022, HP will show off a convertible ProBook using AMD’s upcoming Barcelo-U APUs. The Pro x360 435 G9 is a 13.3-inch convertible with the latest 15 W Ryzen APUs available in both Pro and non-Pro versions. HP Wolf Security for Business is also built into the Pro x360 435 G9 for simple IT management in hybrid work environments.

At CES 2022, HP will unveil a new line of ProBook laptops featuring AMD Barcelo-U processors. The Pro x360 435 G9 is a convertible, while the ProBook 405 Series G9 laptops are standard form factor laptops. With its flexible form size, the Pro x360 435 G9 is ideal for hybrid work environments.

AMD Barcelo-U APUs are used in the HP Pro x360 435 G9. Zen 2 Lucienne, Zen 3 Cezanne, and Zen 3 Refresh Barcelo are the latest additions to the Ryzen 5000 series. The Ryzen 3 5425U, Ryzen 5 5625U, and Ryzen 7 5825U are among the Barcelo APUs available for the Pro x360, according to HP. Pro versions of the Ryzen 5 5625U and Ryzen 7 5825U are also available.

The HP Pro x360 435 G9 has a 13.3 16:9 FHD IPS display with three brightness levels: 250, 400, and 1000 nits, with HP SureView Reflect and HP Eye Ease for greater privacy and minimal blue light emissions, respectively.

Storage capacities range from 128 GB PCIe NVMe SSDs to 2 TB. The Pro x360 435 can also be configured with up to 32 GB of dual-channel DDR4-3200 RAM. 2x USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-As, 1x USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C with DisplayPort-out and power delivery, 1x HDMI 2.0, 1x 3.5 mm combination audio jack, and a microSD card slot are among the ports available. The optional IR camera or fingerprint scanner aid biometric authentication.

HP ProBook 445 G9 and ProBook 455 G9 combine AMD Barcelo-U with 4G LTE

The Pro x360 435 convertible may be customised with two cameras: a user-facing 720p camera (with optional IR) and a world-facing 5 MP sensor with auto-focus.

Depending on the SKU, the WLAN card is either a Qualcomm WCN6900 Wi-Fi 6E or a Realtek Wi-Fi 6 WLAN card, both featuring Bluetooth 5.2. The internals are powered by a 3-cell 42 Whr Li-Pol battery that supports HP Fast Charge.

The HP Pro x360 435 comes with HP Wolf Security for Business, which provides hardware-based always-on defence from the BIOS to the OS and apps, according to HP. Wolf Security is meant to make IT administration in distant hybrid work environments simple by combining manageability features found in AMD Ryzen APU Pro variants. MIL-STD 810H testing is also supported by the laptop.

In April, HP will release the HP Pro x360 435 G9. Closer to the debut, pricing information will be provided.
