With the advent of the new Ryzen 4000H mobile gaming APUs, more and more OEMs are adapting them into their laptops. HP has followed the path too, reported previously the new HP Omen 15 laptops will be using these new 7nm processors as well.
Till now we had confirmation regarding the update specs/ hardware of these new gaming laptops. But according to Redditor u/Sil3ncedsw0rd via Videocardz it seems HP will not only update its hardware but also completely redesigning the laptop for 2020 as well.
The new modern look of the laptop is much appreciated, now with a sleek look and trimmed bezels, the gaming laptop looks really attractive. Also, the numerical keyboard is now nowhere and there’s the iconic OMEN logo on under the display and it has an aluminium-finished palm rest.
The new Omen 15 features a four-zone island-style backlit keyboard with different RGB lighting. The AMD Ryzen 7 4800H powers the laptop with its 8 cores and 16 threads, with up to 4.3 GHz max boost clock.
It is paired with 16 GB DDR4-3200 SDRAM & 512 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD and this model (Omen 15-en0008na) specifically features the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 with 6 GB GDDR6 dedicated memory. The laptop does feature a HP Wide Vision HD Camera with 88-degree, wide-angle field of view.
For cooling, HP has implemented 3-sided venting and 5-way airflow ensure optimal system stability and performance, bundled with HP’s OMEN Tempest Cooling Technology. For better audio, with speaker tuned by Bang & Olufsen, there are HP Audio Boost and SmartAmp technologies to enhance the sound.
On the connectivity front, the gaming laptop comes pre-equipped with Wi-Fi 6 (2×2) and Bluetooth® 5.0 combo including wireless MU-MIMO support. With HP’s OMEN Command Center software, you can control the gaming laptop all at once. This Omen 15-en0008na is listed on HP UK store at a price ranging from 1199 GBP to 1438 EUR.
