We are only halfway through the 2023 summer transfer window, but already we have seen some notable figures such as Benzema, Firmino, and Henderson tempted by enticing offers from the Saudi Pro League. There is great anticipation for more players to follow this trend, with PSG star Neymar reportedly signing for Al-Hilal.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s optimism about the Saudi Pro League’s rise in global football initially faced skepticism and ridicule. However, recent transfer activities, with notable players opting for Saudi Arabia over major European leagues, are bringing Ronaldo’s prediction closer to reality.

The upcoming 2023-24 season marks the 16th edition of the Roshn Saudi League since its establishment in 2008. It is worth mentioning that this season will see the participation of 18 teams in the top division, which is an increase of two from the previous year and six more than its inaugural season in 2008-09.
