The interest in the sport has significantly increased in recent times, largely owing to the impact of the Netflix series ‘Drive to Survive’.
Commercial rights holders of the sport, Liberty Media, have seized this opportunity by introducing new locations in the Middle East, reviving some iconic European venues and adding three American races. Miami and Las Vegas are now a part of the circuit along with Austin, which has been a regular feature for some time.
To manage the strain of an extended calendar, teams have started alternating staff members, and pre-season testing this year was limited to a mere three days.
How to watch Formula 1 in India? FanCode will stream F1 matches LIVE in India
In 2020, Formula 1 published an official broadcast report that highlighted India as one of the sport’s largest fan bases with a whopping 31.1 million enthusiasts. However, by 2023, F1 was unable to secure a broadcasting agreement with Star Sports, the long-time official broadcaster of Formula One in India.
This led to motorsport enthusiasts scrambling for alternative streaming channels, eventually ending up on F1 TV, the official streaming service launched by Formula One racing.
But the current year saw a shift, with FanCode taking over the streaming rights for the longest-ever F1 season, which comprises 24 races beginning February 29 in Bahrain. The races will be streamed across various platforms including smart TVs, mobiles, and tablets via FanCode.
