The non-developers got a chance to taste the upcoming operating systems today as Apple released the first public betas for iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, watchOS 11, and tvOS 18. How to Install iOS 18 Public Beta
iPhone users can install the iOS 18 public beta by opening the Settings app > General > Software Update > Beta Updates, and selecting the “iOS 18 Public Beta”. Tap “Download and Install’. Alternatively, users can visit the Apple Beta Software Program page, sign in with their Apple ID, and follow the instructions to download the beta. Feedback can be submitted directly to Apple using the Feedback Assistant app.

The new operating system betas are in the public beta stage and thus may contain bugs. Do not install them on your primary devices. What’s New in iOS 18?
The revision will now put an RCS messaging API in the Messages app, home screen personalization with greater liberty for placing icons and widgets, an overhauled Photos app layout & structure as well third-party controls support within Control Center-dark mode options extending to app icons. On iPadOS 18, Apple is also bringing a native Calculator app to the iPads.
