The tension, the mystique, the drama of watching fate-readers try to *predict* their own elimination? Unbeatable.

The good news: Korean [reality television](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reality_television) has exploded into one of the most creative, boundary-pushing genres on the planet. Here are 7 survival reality shows that will fill that void perfectly.

## 1. Physical: 100 (2023–Present) — Netflix

The one that started the Korean survival TV wave globally. A hundred participants — fighters, soldiers, athletes, trainers — compete in a brutal quest-style elimination format. Each round narrows the field until one body reigns supreme. The prize? ₩300 million (roughly $240,000 USD). A regional spin-off, *Physical: Asia*, has since launched with teams from eight countries. If *Battle of Fates* gave you the competitive thrill, Physical: 100 delivers it at maximum intensity.

## 2. Siren: Survive the Island (2023) — Netflix

Twenty-four women — police officers, firefighters, bodyguards, soldiers, athletes, and stunt performers — are dropped onto a remote island for seven gruelling days. Divided into six profession-based teams of four, they compete in physical missions, protect their base, and fight to capture rival teams’ flags. Eliminations are swift and merciless. It’s fierce, female-led, and completely riveting.

## 3. The Devil’s Plan (2023–Present) — Netflix

Forget physical strength — this one’s all about your brain. Twelve celebrity contestants are each given a single “Piece” (the show’s survival currency) and thrown into a week-long battle of mind games, alliances, and betrayal. Lose all your Pieces, you’re out. The prize pot can reach ₩500 million ($370,000 USD). Season 1 winner Ha Seok-jin walked away with ₩250 million. Season 2 upped the cast and the complexity. Season 3 is already in production.

## 4. Culinary Class Wars (2024–Present) — Netflix

One hundred chefs. Two sides: the *White Spoons* (established, Michelin-starred names) vs. the *Black Spoons* (underdogs, home cooks, rising talents). The format is survival cooking taken to its most dramatic extreme. Season 1 became the first Korean unscripted series to top Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non-English TV chart for three consecutive weeks — a historic milestone. Season 2 is already underway.

## 5. Zombieverse (2023–Present) — Netflix

Part reality show, part zombie movie. A group of celebrity contestants — including TAEYEON and Yook Sung-jae in Season 1 — are dropped into a staged Seoul zombie apocalypse. Their goal: survive, complete quests, and reach an evacuation ship on Wolmi Island. It’s chaotic, hilarious, terrifying, and completely unscripted in its best moments. *Zombieverse: New Blood* expanded the universe further in Season 2.

## 6. Possessed Love — Korean TV

The spiritual crossover that *Battle of Fates* fans will feel immediately at home with. Eight contestants — fortune readers, shaman practitioners, and tarot specialists — compete in a dating survival format where mystical background is the common thread. It blends romantic chemistry with the eerie world of spiritual traditions in a way that feels uniquely, unmistakably Korean.

## 7. The Influencer (2024) — Netflix

Seventy-seven of South Korea’s biggest social media influencers — collectively boasting over 120 million followers across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram — compete to prove who holds the most real-world sway. Unlike pure physical or mental shows, the currency here is clout. It’s a sharp, modern take on survival that feels scarily relevant to the current digital era.
