Honor has quietly launched the all-new Honor Play 20 Pro Smartphone in the Chinese market without teasing it or making any buzz. It is an addition to the Play 20 Series which already has the vanilla Honor Play 20 smartphone.
Some of the highlights of the smartphone are an OLED display, quad-cameras, and an Helio G80 SoC.
The Honor Play Pro is priced at CNY 1,699($263 or 19,381 INR) for the sole 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. It is currently available only in China and is not expected to reach global markets anytime soon. The phone may launch in a few Asian regions outside China.
Coming to the specifications of the device, the Honor Play 20 Pro comes with a 6.53″ OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. It has a water-drop notch with support for the DCI-P3 color gamut.
The screen doubles up as an in-display fingerprint scanner for added security, upfront, it has a 16MP selfie shooter and a quad-camera setup at the rear.
The rear setup comprises a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor.
The device is powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC and comes with 8GB RAM. The smartphone has 128GB storage but it is not clear if the device has a microSD card for storage expansion.
It has a 3,800mAh battery with support for 22.5W fast charging, Honor claims that it can charge the entire device from 0 to 100 in under 65 minutes.
