Honor MagicBook 14 & MagicBook 15 with Ryzen 5 3500U and pop-up camera launched

Huawei has made some bold announcements recently and among them, the launch of the new Honor MagicBook laptops is a key one. The new Honor laptops powered by the 2nd Gen AMD Ryzen mobile processor i.e. the Ryzen 5 3500U with 4 cores and 8 threads along with up to 3.7GHz clock speed.

The Honor MagicBook series is a budget range laptop series, a direct competitor to the RedmiBook series by Xiaomi. The new MagicBook 14 /15 series has a thin and compact design along with being lightweight.

On the productivity front, the battery life of these laptops last up to 10 hours and even sports a compact Type-C charger with 65W fast charging support. Along with that, the laptops do have an amazing FullView display with a high screen-to-body ratio.

Apart from sporting a great 1080p FullView display, the 16:9 aspect ratio makes it look bezel-less, looks great even though being a budget laptop. To attain such display Honor has sacrificed the webcam and so comes equipped with a pop-up webcam which hidden underneath the camera button on the keyboard. 

Both the Ryzen 5 3500U along with 8GB RAM & NVMe SSD storage will help to smoothen up the daily experience. In spite of featuring a Ryzen CPU that too a 12nm process, the laptop gives up to 9.5 hours of local video playback on a single full charge or 10 hours of productivity which is great!

The inbuilt fingerprint power button enables instant access from startup to desktop directly which indeed gives you a more secure and effortless login experience. It has an S-shaped fan design that improves airflow and heat dissipation up to 38%. The laptop also has a compact backlit keyboard with large buttons and a large trackpad as well.

The MagicBook 14 /15 series will be available in Space Gray and Mystic Silver colour options with a starting price tag of 599 Euros for the 256GB version. The new Honor MagicBook laptops will go on sale in selected countries like UK, Germany, France, Czech Republic and more by the end of March 2020.
