In an effort to take on industry leaders like Samsung in the high-end market, Honor unveiled its first flip-foldable phone on Thursday. For the time being, the Honor Magic V Flip will only be sold in China, however, the firm is highlighting its AI and camera features.
The Magic V Flip has a 6.6W fast charger, a 50MP primary camera with a Sony IMX906 sensor, a 4-inch cover screen, and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 engine. According to the business, the new gadget appeals to consumers looking for convenience in a stylish, small package since it combines an inventive flip design with high-speed performance.
Honor Magic V Flip features, pricing, and availability
The cameras, which include a 12MP ultrawide array and a 50MP Sony IMX906 primary lens with optical image stabilization, are fashioned as raindrop ripples. Honor claims that in order to capture both near and far-distant objects, its ultrawide lens supports the AI software’s intelligent recommendation and super macro switching.
Honor already has a book-style foldable dubbed the Magic V2 available for purchase. The company’s first vertically folding phone is the Magic V Flip.
With a 6.8-inch FHD+ OLED panel, 120Hz refresh rate, 3,000 nits of peak brightness, and Dolby Vision, the Honor Magic V Flip boasts a high-tech display. A 4-inch cover display at the front has a resolution of 1,092 x 1,200 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits.
The Honor Magic V Flip is available in Champagne Pink, Iris Black, Camellia White, and a Jimmy Choo limited edition.
The base Honor Magic V Flip variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at CNY 4,999 (about Rs 57,500). There is another version available for CNY 5,999 (about Rs 69,100) that has 1TB of storage and 16GB of RAM.
