Honor 90 5G Set to Make Its Mark in India: Specs and Features Unveiled

The Honor 90 5G is scheduled for its India debut on September 14, having been previously released in China back in May. Honor Tech India, the company behind launching the phone in India, has now officially disclosed the primary specifications for the Indian variant. Similar to its Chinese counterpart, it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC. The official product page for the phone on the Indian website is live, providing additional key details.

A listing on the Honor India website reveals that the phone is likely to come in Diamond Silver, Emerald Green, Midnight Black, and Peacock Blue color options. Meanwhile, an Amazon microsite for the Indian version of the Honor 90 suggests that it will be offered in India with up to 19GB of RAM and 512GB of built-in storage. It is also listed with configurations of 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB. The listing indicates that the phone will support a vRAM expansion of 7GB.

Confirmed to be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, the Indian variant of the Honor 90 5G will come with the Android 13-based Magic OS 7.1 pre-installed. The device will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1.5K (2664×1200 pixels) with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a peak brightness level of 1,600 nits.

As for the camera setup, the Honor 90 5G’s triple rear camera system will include a 200-megapixel primary sensor with Honor Image Engine support, a 12-megapixel sensor equipped with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel sensor featuring a macro lens. Positioned in a centrally aligned hole-punch cutout at the top of the display, the front camera will sport a 50-megapixel sensor.

Lastly, the Indian variant of the Honor 90 5G will be equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 66W wired fast charging via a USB Type-C port. Honor claims that the phone can offer up to 20 hours of local 720p video playback. Previously, the Honor 90 5G was rumored to be priced at approximately ₹35,000 in India.
