Honda India has launched the Honda City e: HEV hybrid electric sedan in the country, this new car has an amazing fuel efficiency rating. As per Honda, the hybrid car is an augmentation of the Honda City, it can deliver an average mileage of 26.5 KM/liter of fuel.
The e: HEV is the first hybrid electric vehicle in India that hopes to leverage the growing demand for vehicles of this nature in the Indian auto sector. Honda India has begun to accept pre-bookings for the City e: HEV with the first deliveries expected to arrive as early as May of 2022.
Features of Honda City e: HEV Hybrid Electric
The car features a self-charging dual-motor hybrid system that is connected to a 1.5-liter petrol engine. The setup has the ability to deliver a peak power of 126 PS and has a fuel efficiency of 26.5 KM/liter.
Honda Cars India is looking to position itself as a major player in some of its niche offerings. We can expect the company to launch 30 EV models globally by 2030 and the hybrid models will have a plethora of additional features such as a high-performance front camera that enhances the safety of the driver. The camera can offer a wide-angle view and it helps to scan the road ahead as well. It also provides timely alerts when to the driver when there is a chance of an accident and it can intervene in certain scenarios as well.
The introduction of the Honda City e: HEV will mark the delivery of several electric models with India-centric specifications. The company has not yet revealed the details of the pricing of the car.
