Mobile World Congress (MWC) is set to begin on March 3 in Barcelona, Spain, with several brands like Realme and Tecno confirming their participation. Well now, HMD has also confirmed its own MWC event and shared some teasers on its official X handle, enabling a glimpse of what we’re about to see. HMD Teases FC Barcelona-Themed Phone, Amped Buds, and Nokia 3510 4G Ahead of MWC 2025 Launch Event
HMD has already set a March 2 launch event for MWC. In one teaser image, we see a smartphone with an FC Barcelona logo on its back. HMD replaced OPPO as FCB’s official smartphone partner in August last year, OPPO having previously produced Barcelona-themed handsets such as the OPPO F1 Plus and OPPO Reno 10x Zoom. It’s plausible that said device is the HMD Fusion because the camera island is square with dual sensors.
The HMD Fusion initially launched globally last September. HMD will be on-site at Spotify Camp Nou in Barcelona all week showcasing everything from exciting collaborations to new devices, says the company’s CEO. The other teaser showcases a small accessory with the tagline “Power like never before.” While its identity remains unclear, an X user, smashx_60, claims it could be the HMD Amped Buds.
Leaked schematics indicate that the headphones will have an in-ear design with a stem, a press-to-release mechanism, and wireless charging support. HMD is expected to announce partnerships with Mattel, Lego, and other brands, too. In addition to the Nokia 3700 series, the company is said to be launching the Nokia 3510 4G feature phone at MWC 2025.
Also, at the event, HMD might showcase an updated Fusion smartphone with redesigns and features. The HMD Fusion launched in India last November for ₹17,999. Its three designs — casual, flashy, and gaming — bolster durability, photography lighting, and gaming performance. Highlights include a 90Hz display, Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip, 108MP main camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W charging.
