Hirving Lozano to sign 4-year deal with San Diego FC after title win with PSV Eindhoven

Hirving Lozano is set to join San Diego FC ahead of the new season, with the Mexican spending his final season in Europe with PSV Eindhoven. The Dutch side ended up winning the Eredivisie title after a dominant season, and the 28-year-old contributed six goals and three assists in 28 games towards the victory.

While some might say the Mexican is too young to consider a move to the MLS, he has already committed long-term to the American side, agreeing a four-year contract with them.

The Mexican was in talks with LA Galaxy over a transfer last summer, but decided to return to PSV Eindhoven for one last dance. And after winning the title with them, he is leaving on a high note. The forward has already signed his contract with San Diego, and should be officially announced as a new signing soon.

His most prolific spell came with Napoli, having played for them between 2019 and 2023. Hirving Lozano made 155 appearances for the Azzurri, scoring 30 goals and providing 17 assists, winning the Scudetto in his final season with them.

But now, he will return to North America and join the MLS, after a bright career in Europe and several memorable title wins.
