### What’s *Hi* About?

At its heart, *Hi* is a messy, heartfelt love story. Mayil, a shy small-town guy nursing a broken heart, moves to Chennai and crosses paths with Devayani, who’s running from a troubled arranged marriage. To protect her from being dragged back home, Mayil spins a wild lie — claiming she’s pregnant with his child — and things spiral from there. Between fake pregnancies, an imaginary girlfriend, and a long-lost mother reunion, the film balances comedy with genuine emotional stakes before Mayil and Devayani find their way back to each other.
