Here’s what’s new for October on Prime Gaming, PS Plus, and Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft has been aggressively pushing for their Xbox Game Pass service as hard as they can throughout 2021. in January the service reportedly had around 18 million subscribers but since then the number has increased and it is expected that the subscriber count may be approaching a pretty major milestone!

During a recent Yahoo Finance “fireside chat” with Xbox boss Phil Spencer and 2K Games boss Strauss Zelnick, Spencer stated that the Xbox Game Pass now has “about 30 million” subscriptions.

Strauss Zelnick: Phil didn’t pitch his service, which is impressive, given he could have… but you’ve got around 30 million [Xbox Game Pass] subs, Phil, right? Something like that?

Phil Spencer: The last public number we announced was 18 [million].

Zelnick: Oh, for some reason I thought…

Host: But it’s 30?

Zelnick: It’s more than 18. Anyhow, the point is, it’s a big number

in recent news, the Xbox Game Pass has brought Marvel’s Avengers to its roster, and though this was somewhat of an unexpected development since the game was well known on PlayStation platforms until now. The game is certainly not the most anticipated one and quite frankly can be disappointing in many ways.

However, the game will soon prng Spider-Man update later this year and it will be a PlayStation Exclusive. So this is a really strange addition.

Coming to Amazons Prime Gaming, the company has announced October 2021’s free games which will be coming to its platform and there are quite a few big ones such as STAR WARS: Squadrons, Ghostrunner, and Alien: Isolation.
