Chelsea’s top earners have been revealed by The Sun, and the players at the top are not the ones with the highest returns. The Blues have a fair chance of finishing fourth in the league this season. However, they fell short of the FA Cup for the second season running as they were defeated by Leicester at Wembley.

Kai Havertz earns an eye-watering £310,000 per week, while Timo Werner earns £270,000 during the same time. Both the Germans have struggled to live up to their price tag this season. While Timo Werner has missed some very good chances on multiple occasions this season, Havertz has been shaky in his own right.

The former Leverkusen man had a woeful case of coronavirus shortly after joining the club, which made it more difficult for him to adjust. However, things are finally starting to look good for him and he must deliver more for the wage he is being paid. We have seen flashes of his ability, but those need to start becoming more consistent now.

Ben Chilwell is next on the list, earning £190,000 a week. He was signed from Leicester this season and has been productive at left-back when deployed. Chelsea’s second choice keeper, Kepa earns £150,000 while their midfield maestro, N’Golo Kante earns the same amount.

The wide duo of Christian Pulisic and Callum Hudson-Odoi is next on the list, with the American earning £145,000. The Englishman, on the other hand, bags £120,000 despite not featuring in the starting lineup very regularly.

They are followed by Olivier Giroud, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic, all three earning a sum close to £110,000 every seven days.
