The Indian Football Team has a long list of legendary football players who have donned the jersey and some of them lead the team as well. Indian Football has a long and rich history.

India played their first international football game in the year 1924. The then Indian Football Team consisted of players from both India and England. After independence in 1947, India became one of the best Asian footballing nations. The Indian Football Team won the Gold medal in the 1951 and 1962 Asian games and finished 5th in the 1956 Olympics.
