Why does Real Madrid need to sign Antonio Rudiger from Chelsea?

Via Twitter

Antonio Rudiger has been an integral part of Chelsea in their recent seasons. He won the Champions League last season but his contract expires this summer. Chelsea’s sale is going on as Roman Abramovich has been sanctioned after Russia invaded Ukraine. So Chelsea is not in the race to sign any new player and contract extensions also become difficult.

So the German defender has decided to join the Spanish giants Real Madrid. Famous transfer journalist, Fabrizio Romano has given “Here We Go” to the transfer of Rudiger to Real Madrid, which means it is already done.

Rudiger will sign a 4-year contract with Real Madrid until 2026. Carlo Ancelotti was very important in convincing the 29-year-old to make the switch. The Italian has now secured his first signing of the summer with Kylian Mbappe possibly to follow the route to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid will be signing Rudiger as a free agent in the summer just like they signed former Bayern Munich defender David Alaba last summer. However, no announcement is expected to be made officially by Real Madrid until the end of the season out of respect for the Premier League club.
