There were rumours that he could be announced as a new player as soon as today, since the club had booked the Eiffel Tower for August 10th. And if everything goes smoothly, we could be seeing the Argentinian holding up a PSG shirt by the end of the night.

The player recently ended his 21-year long association with Barcelona due to La Liga rulings that prevented the club from re-signing the player. He gave an emotional press conference on Sunday ahead of Barcelona’s friendly match with Juventus that they won 3-0.

PSG have been the only club realistically in the race for Messi, since Manchester City pulled out of the race with Pep Guardiola announcing they had no plans to go for him.
