Here are the most downloaded PlayStation games in December 2021

The top downloaded titles for December 2021 on PlayStation have been released, and Among Us topped the charts in both North America and Europe on both PS5 and PS4 systems. The popular social game Among Us made its console debut in December, and for $4, it was an easy purchase for aficionados and beginners alike.

While players tried to figure out who the most suspicious person around them was, the rest of the top ten in the US and Canada contained newer games like Call of Duty: Vanguard, Madden NFL 22, and Battlefield 2042, while the top ten in Europe had a similar variety of games.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales and the remastered edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man were among the most downloaded games of the year around the world, while Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla also made the top ten in the United States. It’s not unexpected to see the Nordic sandbox return on the rankings, given that it was heavily discounted last year and comes with a free upgrade option for newer systems.

In terms of virtual reality, Beat Saber was the most popular PSVR game in the United States, Canada, and Europe, with Job Simulator, Swordsman VR, and Superhot VR rounding out the top five. Fortnite was firmly established at the top for those looking for a free-to-play experience, while the rest of the world plunged into games like Genshin Impact, Destiny 2, and Rocket League.
