Here are new details which popped up about NVIDIA’s upcoming GeForce RTX 3090 Ti

NVIDIA’s board partners have shared some of the initial specs of the company’s upcoming GeForce RTX 3090 Ti SKU. According to the date, the card is not called RTX 3090 SUPER, but instead, it will be called the RTX 3090 Ti. The card will not only feature more cores but will also come with many changes to the memory subsystem, power configurations, and much more.

First, off starting with the power configurations, the NVIDIA RTX 3090 Ti will have a TDP of up to 450W, which is 100W more than the ‘original’ 3090. however, we still have no confirmation as to whether this will be the final TDP or if it applies to a custom card.

The latest information also states that the graphics card might feature a new power connector, but this does not mean that we will have a Molex Microfit 12-pin connector, but instead, it will supposedly be a new standard for PCIe Gen5.

RTX 3090 Ti memory upgrade: 21 Gbps/2GB modules

The reason behind such a high reported TDP might be because of the ridiculously high 21 Gbps memory, and the card will also reportedly have a new board design.

The RTX 3090 Ti is expected to launch in January alongside RTX 3070 Ti 16GB and RTX 2060 12GB which is currently under production at NVIDIA to tackle the mid-range AMD’s rDNA 2 based GPUs.

GeForce RTX 3090 Ti GPU specifications is a full GA102 GPU with 10752 CUDA cores (84 SMs) and 24GB of GDDR6X memory.
