Hazard and Ceballos Real Madrid futures uncertain with 3 months of 22/23 left

Dani Ceballos has talked about his future at Real Madrid, amidst questions of whether he will sign a new contract. The Spaniard has been given an opportunity by Carlo Ancelotti, and has performed incredibly well recently, making good on the potential he showed at Real Betis.

“I don’t want a renewal if I don’t deserve it or go to another club if I don’t deserve it. I want to enjoy. Three months? I want to play them and when I’m done meet with my agent, with my family and value the best, but I don’t want the best contract. I want the people, the board and the club to decide if I am valid or not for them,” he told AS.

“Now the most important thing is to focus on day to day, taking advantage of whatever minutes it is and showing people that I want to continue playing for Real Madrid.”

Eden Hazard speaks out on Real Madrid future alongside Ceballos

While Ceballos has hinted at a more prominent first team role in order to get an extension, Eden Hazard believes he will still be at Real Madrid next season amidst reports of an exit.

The Belgian has been left on the bench for an extended period of time, with injuries hampering his availability and impact on the pitch.

“There’s respect between Ancelotti and I. But, I’m not going to say we talk to each other, because we don’t. But there will always be respect. I have to have respect a guy like Ancelotti. For what he represents for football, and for what he’s done in his career,” Hazard said.

“I would like to stay. I’ve always said that. I hope to play and to show that I can still do it. People have doubts, that’s normal, I understand. But for me, I’m still here next year. You never know, but a transfer is not in my plan.”

Hazard was expected to be the heir to Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid. But, his big money move has been a nightmare with fitness issues and injuries. He has been increasingly linked with a move to the MLS in the summer. And entering the last 12 months of his contract, Real could finally cut their ties with him.
