Have Arsenal let the Premier League title slip after their 2-2 draw against West Ham?

All or Nothing: Arsenal review - A joy for football fans

Arsenal let a two-goal lead slip against West Ham United as they drew 2-2 against the Hammers. The Gunners had a very impressive start against David Moyes’ side, as they were 2-0 up in the first ten minutes itself.

It seemed like another one-sided display for the league leaders, until Said Benrahma converted his penalty to make it 2-1. The home team eventually grew back into the game and came out in spirited fashion in the second half.

Bukayo Saka missed a penalty six minutes into the second half, and the weight of the miss became even heavier when Jarrod Bowen equalised only a minute afterwards.

West Ham United played with more conviction in the second half, and Arsenal seemed desperate at that point. They tried getting every man to attack in the final stages, but it simply wasn’t enough for them to take all three points.

This has left them only four points ahead of Manchester City, who have a game in hand. If City do win their game in hand, then they will be only one point behind the North London club.

This would mean that the match between the two clubs on April 26 is the title decider, with only five games left to go after that point. However, given that it is the Premier League, anything can happen even when it seems like the title has been sealed.

Manchester City’s freakish form will need Arsenal to win every match to truly win the title. But given the way Guardiola’s side are playing, you wouldn’t rule them out in the slightest. For now, though, the title is still Arsenal’s to lose as they still have a lead.
