Halloween just got an early gift. Netflix has released the first trailer, key art, and a batch of first-look images for Season 2 of **Haunted Hotel**, the adult animated horror-comedy that quietly became one of the streamer’s sleeper hits. The new season checks in globally on **October 9**, and based on the trailer, the Freeling family’s problems at the Undervale are only getting started.

Created by Matt Roller — a veteran writer of [Rick and Morty](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haunted_Hotel) and Archer — the series follows single mom Katherine as she tries to turn her haunted hotel into an actual functioning business, “not just a building where dead people terrorize living people.” Season 2 throws new chaos her way, including a giant shark named Beluga, a cabin full of witches, and a multi-jawed subterranean beast.
