The Haryana Government’s EV policy and the state’s set-for-sale electric vehicles (4W, 2W, and 3W) and hybrid vehicles’ subsidy rates have both been authorised.
The Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Toyota’s first capable hybrid vehicle for the compact to the mid-size SUV market, was recently unveiled. Its launch date has not yet been made public. However, the automobile will be eligible for subsidies of up to Rs. 3 lakh when it does go on sale in Haryana. This subsidy rate is valid for vehicles under the threshold of 40 lakh.
Additionally, the state government will waive a 15% subsidy rate for electric automobiles with prices ranging from 15 lakh to 40 lakh rupees. Currently, this comprises vehicles like the MG ZS EV, Tata Nexon Prime, and Tata Nexon EV Max.
E-rickshaws and light electric vehicles are examples of commercial vehicles that are eligible for incentives.
The former includes 25,000 in subsidies, while the latter will receive 50,000 in subsidies.
Although they are more akin to introductory deals, subsidy rates are also available to imported models. Imported vehicles with suggested retail prices between 40 lakh and 70 lakh rupees will come with incentives up to 10 lakh rupees at 15%, but they are only available to first-time purchasers.
Electric vehicles costing less than 10 lakhs and more are also eligible for subsidy rates. For EVs under $75,000, it is up to $75,000, and for those over $75,000, it is up to $1 lakh. The offers, however, are only valid for the first six months following the publication of the policy.
