Harry Kane transfer news: Tottenham have accepted a €100 million offer from Bayern Munich for the sale of Harry Kane. The German club will now finalise personal terms with the striker before the move is completed.
After reports that Real Madrid and Manchester United were interested in signing the player, Bayern Munich seem to have finally signed the England captain.
The Bavarians have been without a prolific number nine ever since the departure of Robert Lewandowski last year. Although Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has shown good form, the club wants a big name centre-forward to help them continue their stronghold over the Bundesliga.
Spurs and Bayern to meet to discuss Harry Kane transfer
After Bayern’s second bid was turned down, the boards of the two clubs are set to meet to discuss the transfer of Kane. Bayern have commented on the possibility of signing the striker, and are eager to get the deal over the line.
Harry Kane to PSG rumours: €100m
PSG are also in need of a first-choice striker this summer, and have turned their attention to Kane after being linked with the likes of Victor Osimhen and Dusan Vlahovic.
The Parisians are waiting in the wings and are planning to make a move only if Kane’s move to Bayern collapses.
Harry Kane transfer news: Bayern’s second bid turned down
Die Roten have returned with an €80 million (£68.2 million) offer for the striker. But, Tottenham have no intention of accepting the offer as they are holding out for a price in the region of £120 million to sell their star player.
Bayern are not known to spend crazy amounts of money on players, and they could back out of the deal if Spurs don’t budge on their asking price. Harry Kane is reportedly keen on making the move to Bavaria, but will not be able to do so without an agreement between the two clubs.
He has always been respectful with Spurs, but could push for an exit at what is the most vital stage of his career. In spite of being recognised as one of the best strikers in the world, the 29-year-old has not won a single trophy for club or country yet. And with Tottenham’s situation right now, the likelihood of winning any silverware seems very low.
New Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou has commented that he has no guarantees that Kane will be in the squad next season even though he has reported for preseason training. And it now remains to be seen whether any club can persuade Daniel Levy to part ways with Harry Kane this summer.
