Harry Kane’s first game with Bayern Munich ended in defeat against RB Leipzig in the DFL Supercup final. But, his full debut in the Bundesliga opener against Werder Bremen saw him off and running to a bright start.
The striker scored a goal and provided an assist as Bayern defeated Bremen 4-0 on the first matchday. The England captain played in Leroy Sane with a simple flick, and the winger made no mistake by helping his side to a lead early in the game.

The former Tottenham striker doubled Bayern’s advantage in the second half when he was assisted by Alphonso Davies. The left-back found Kane on the back of a counter attack, and he had all the time in the world to produce a finish to make it 2-0.
Harry Kane was eventually taken off for Mathys Tel with five minutes remaining, capping a remarkable debut performance for him.
Sane then scored his second goal of the time, while substitute Tel was able to score in the season opener as well. In spite of the defeat against RB Leipzig, Bayern have been able to bounce back with an impressive win in the Bundesliga.
They will be the favourites to win the title and make it 12 in a row and have taken the first step towards it. Bayern will also be strong favourites to win the Champions League now that they have a world-class striker like Kane leading their attack.
