Meet “Luna”: The Emotionally Intelligent AI Avatar
In association with Cerence AI, HARMAN has exhibited Luna, which is an AI with emotional intelligence capability powered by Ready Engage. The vehicles to drive have been transformed using Luna which is characterized by such features as:
- Natural, Personalized Interactions: AI speaking to the drivers and the enhanced capability of visual processing are the real aids to achieving natural and personal interactions, as they are distinguishable from human ones in approach.
- Generative AI Integration: Growing ideas of other AI and befitting the novel occurrences and changes in the AI system.
- Enhanced Developer Ecosystem: “Cerence AI PowerR “Automotive “Ready Link Marketplace” is a place where third-party developers come together and create in-car apps that could bring personalizable content secured by privacy.
Under this agreement, Cerence AI’s innovation called CaLLM™ Edge, which is a small language model (SLM) in the automotive industry, will be directly implanted into HARMAN’s Ready Upgrade software. CaLLM™ Edge enables cost-effective, secure and advanced in-car AI applications.

- HARMAN’s cockpit domain controller is complemented by HL Klemove’s Level 2 ADAS software and sensors in the central compute unit (CCU).

Bringing Home-Theater Quality to In-Car Displays
HARMAN, taking advantage of Samsung’s consumer expertise, is disrupting the automotive in-car display market with neo-QLED technology-refined products under the name – Ready Display.
What’s New?
- Quantum Dot Technology: “Quantum Dot Technology” means displays that are prepared to be used in a car because of a high brightness display with a more efficient color algorithm and also because of being free of cadmium.
- HDR10+ Automotive Standard: Co-developed with Samsung, Ready Display will be the first HDR10+-compliant product. Its release is expected in early 2025.
- Ready Aware systems are developed with Miovision and allow us to get real-time traffic alerts such as red-light assist and time-to-green notifications to better our situational awareness.
- Their interstrial system has a telematics control unit (TCU) co-developed with Qualcomm and it is a satellite communication used for emergency messaging and ubiquitous connectivity.
- It is a system that the driver feels stress, distraction, and drowsiness and then it gives the driver personalized real-time interventions to the seat warmer and cooler to improve the driver’s comfort and concentration.
- The system is a smart one that provides real-time personalized recommendations, e.g. seat heating, or cooling to make the journey of the driver more comfortable and successful.
