Thirteen shows into their partnership, Netflix and Harlan Coben are finally tackling the project the author himself calls his magnum opus. *Myron Bolitar* — a name Coben once described as his “most prized possession” — has just landed its three leads, and production kicks off this month.

## What’s *Myron Bolitar* About?

Unlike most Coben adaptations, which pull from stand-alone novels, this one’s based on a 12-book series that began with *Deal Breaker* in 1995. It follows a former NBA star whose career-ending injury pushes him into an unexpected second act as a sports agent — one who keeps getting pulled into his clients’ dangerous secrets. The story sits in a genre Wikipedia broadly classifies under **[crime fiction](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crime_fiction)**, Coben’s bread and butter for over three decades.

## Meet The Trio Driving The Story

**Colin Woodell** (*The Continental*) leads as Myron, a man rebuilding his identity around his old competitive fire. **KJ Apa** (*Riverdale*) plays Win Lockwood, Myron’s fiercely loyal best friend who walked away from generational wealth. **Diane Guerrero** (*Orange Is the New Black*) rounds it out as Esperanza Diaz, a former pro wrestler turned the agency’s sharp-tongued backbone.

## Why This One Matters More To Coben

Coben has previously said this particular series is dearer to him than almost anything else he’s written, given that a third of his 34 books belong to this world. That personal weight, paired with *Big Little Lies* writer David E. Kelley steering the ship, suggests Netflix isn’t treating this as just another Coben title — it’s the crown jewel.

Filming runs through New York and New Jersey into November, with a 2027 release expected. Until then, Coben fans can stream his current hit, *I Will Find You*, now on Netflix.
