India vs New Zealand 1st T20I abandoned due to rain; Hardik Pandya believes that this tour will be filled with opportunities

The Indian fans as well as the cricket board of India haven’t been healed from the wounds of the semifinal loss. India’s stand-in skipper Hardik Pandya believes that this tour is the perfect opportunity for role clarity and a perfect opportunity for youngsters to showcase their talent.

He also said that the players included in the series are young by age and not by experience.

“These guys are young by age, but not by experience. They have played plenty of IPL and got a good amount of Internationals as well. I think the youngsters of today don’t get intimidated by not having played too much cricket.”– he added

He believes that the T20 World Cup was history and neither he nor the T20I team believes in dwelling in the past.

On the other hand, New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson said that the ongoing T20I series between India and New Zealand is a good way to test players like Adam Milne who didn’t perform in T20 World Cup.

As India lost to England, New Zealand was defeated by Pakistan. Both teams have a pretty strong squad and the series may give both sides a perfect opportunity to acknowledge what they are doing wrong.

Indian youngsters like Sanju Samson, Shreyas Iyer, Shubman Gill, and Umran Malik have been given the opportunity in this edition. A good performance may open their doors to be included in the ODI and T20I World Cup squad.
