Nobody saw this coming — a low-budget devotional film is quietly rewriting India’s box office rulebook. *Hanuman Ansh* just posted a record-breaking Week 5 collection of Rs. 86.50 crore, doubling the previous industry benchmark and proving that sleeper hits can still dominate months after release.

## What’s Driving the Record Run

The film added Rs. 9.25 crore on its 5th Thursday alone, pushing its Week 5 total to Rs. 86.50 crore nett — a jump of 48% over the previous week. That takes its 5-week overall total to Rs. 156.60 crore nett in India, a stunning trajectory for a film that opened with barely Rs. 0.90 crore in its first week.

## Why This Is a Landmark Box Office Story

What makes *Hanuman Ansh*‘s run remarkable isn’t just the numbers — it’s the pattern. Most films peak in their opening weeks and decline afterward; this one is accelerating in its fifth week, running roughly 2.5 times ahead of *Dhurandhar*‘s comparable stretch. With a production cost of just Rs. 2 crore, the film’s total profit could exceed Rs. 100 crore, especially once digital rights are sold. Industry trackers now classify it as a Super Blockbuster with one of the highest return-on-investment ratios in recent Indian cinema history.
