Hansi Flick is set to leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season, after confirming the news himself on live TV. The German has won it all in only two seasons, winning the sextuple after not even a full season in charge. Considering the Bayern Munich team that Flick took over, it is absolutely unbelievable what he achieved within the span of a year.

“Yes, of course German National Team is an option that every coach has to consider. But for me the last few weeks have not been easy”, the Bayern Munich coach said.

As confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, Flick will take over the Germany national team from Joachim Low. He was part of the Germany national team that won the 2014 FIFA World Cup, working as an assistant to Joachim Low and will now be the man in charge.

Julian Nagelsmann is the primary target for Bayern Munich to replace Flick, but negotiations with RB Leipzig will not be easy. Dayot Upamecano is already set to join the Bavarians from Leipzig this summer, and Leipzig will be skeptical to let both their assets go to direct rivals.

Max Allegri was also one of the names linked with the job, but Bayern Munich have not approached the former Juventus coach just yet.

Considering the impact and the quality of football that Flick has shown at Bayern Munich, his appointment for Germany will make them strong favourites to win the 2022 World Cup if they manage to qualify for it.
