Hansi Flick will be staying on as the head coach of the Germany national team, despite their group stage exit from the 2022 World Cup.
There were rumours about the former Bayern Munich head coach stepping down from his post. Moreover, the likes of Thomas Tuchel and Jurgen Klopp were linked as the replacements for the manager. But, an official statement has confirmed that Flick will be staying on until 2024.

“We have full confidence in Hansi Flick that he will master this challenge together with his team,” Bernd Neuendorf, president of the DFB, said in a statement after a crisis meeting with Hansi Flick.
“My coaching team and I are optimistic about the European Championship in our own country,” Flick said.
“We as a team can achieve much more than we showed in Qatar. We missed a great opportunity there,” he added.
“We will learn our lessons from this.”
A lot will be expected from Germany in the years ahead – especially since they host the 2020 Euros. Playing on home soil, Die Mannschaft will be expected to go out and win the trophy. But based on the performances that we saw in the World Cup, a lot of improvement needs to go into the team to reach that level.
Oliver Bierhoff, the team director for Germany, stepped down after the tournament, much to the disappointment of Hansi Flick. For this reason, it was expected that Flick also had a decent chance of leaving. But, he has decided to stay on and build the team to perform well at the 2024 Euros.
