Barcelona are holding talks with Hansi Flick as the replacement for Xavi Hernandez from the coming season. The two parties have discussed the managerial position in London, and are keen to move ahead together once the final details have been sorted out.
Flick is the leading candidate for Barcelona and has been waiting for the opportunity himself. He has been without a job since leaving the German national team, and will now return to club management with Barca if things go according to plan.

Xavi recently revealed that he had taken a joint decision with president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco to remain at the club after he announced he would be leaving. But after Xavi’s recent comments at a press conference, Joan Laporta has decided to go back on his word and the feeling is that the former midfielder will leave at the end of the season.
Hansi Flick has been at the top of Laporta’s list for a while, and once Xavi’s dismissal is finalised, the procedure to bring him in can be completed.
There is a two-year contract on the table, and things could be completed as soon as next week after Barcelona’s meeting with Xavi.
