Hannibal Mejbri is close to joining Burnley on a loan move with the option to buy. The player is set to undergo his medical for the move imminently.
Although Mejbri featured in Manchester United’s preseason games this season, he is seemingly not part of Erik Ten Hag’s plans for the season. As a result, he hasn’t featured in any of their two games so far, and is set to move on over the coming days.

The Tunisian spent the second half of the 23-24 season on loan at Sevilla, but only made a handful of appearances for the Spanish side. In 2022-23, he was on loan at Birmingham, for whom he made 41 appearances across all competitions, scoring once and providing six assists.
It’ll be interesting to see if he can become a regular for Burnley once he completes his transfer. There is room in midfield for him to slot in given Sander Berge has joined Fulham.
United, on the other hand, can register pure profits for him if Burnley sign him on a permanent deal. He joined the Red Devils in 2019 from Monaco, but can be considered an academy player.
