Hakim Ziyech’s transfer to PSG has collapsed, after an agreement was found with Chelsea on deadline day. The Premier League club submitted the documents too late after they were exchanged, beyond the transfer deadline.
An appeal was launched to the LFP for the decision to be overturned, but it has been rejected and the player is set to stay at Chelsea for the remainder of the season. PSG are furious with the situation, but have no other choice but to accept the rulings made by the official body.

The Moroccan would have been the replacement for Pablo Sarabia at the Parc de Princes. Wolves signed him for a €5 million fee earlier in the transfer window, and Ziyech would have been the alternative to him for the latter half of the campaign.
However, due to it being too late for the move to be registered, it has not been confirmed even though the documents were signed and sealed. The player himself is quite disappointed at the situation since he was keen on the transfer.
Owing to the injury crisis that Chelsea are facing right now, Hakim Ziyech has had a few opportunities since the 2022 World Cup. His performances have been quite positive, but he has failed to get consistent game time over his time at Stamford Bridge. One of the reasons is injuries, while a lack of stability in management and playing style is another.
It now remains to be seen whether he will continue to have opportunities under Graham Potter, or if he will go back to being on the sidelines with Chelsea.
