At 7:16 pm, Respawn announced that matchmaking in the game of apex legends had been recovered, and a fix has been put in place to stop the playlists which are hacked. It has “determined that this attack—while disruptive—has not put players’ personal information or accounts at risk.”
In the Titan fall community, the consequences of this attack are still being felt. Different members from the NoSkill Titanfall Modding Discord and TF Remnant Fleet created SaveTitanfall.com. But, they didn’t know it would soon put them in a bad position. So, when the hack started and directed players of Apex legends game to SaveTitanfall.com, everyone thinks that the website was created by those responsible.
The Discord Server TF Remnant Fleet’s admin, Redshild, stated that this is not the actual case. He stated in a statement to IGN that “I would like the Apex Legends’ community, on behalf of the TF Remnant Fleet and the Titanfall community that we stand with you”.”We are not behind the recent attacks and have no control over them, and that’s something that we know the pain of very well. We empathize with you and hope that things can return to normalcy soon. At the very least, even if Titanfall doesn’t get fixed, we hope that Apex Legends can be, as I know that’s a game that far more people cherish just as much as we cherish our game.”
These attacks are causing much more than just the Apex legends game players, as many good and passionate players of Titanfall 1 and now in damage control mode because they are trying to clear their name after being linked to these hacks.
The original story follows like this; a hacker group has begun hacking the game Apex legends because of the current hacking and server problems that players face in the Titanfall original game. Kotaku reported that some Apex legends players are noticing hacked in the game notifications and playlist, which features different text complaining about the hacking situation in Titanfall and advertising SaveTitanfall.com.
