If you thought Nottingham Forest were done bringing in players after their record-breaking summer transfer window, you were mistaken. The Tricky Trees are closing in on their first signing of the January transfer window – Gustavo Scarpa as a free agent.
The 28-year-old will be joining from Palmeiras, and is expected to sign a three-and-a-half year deal with the Premier League club, until 2026. The contract is expected to be worth £30,000 per week for the attacking midfielder.

The deal has been given the here we go signal by renowned transfer insider Fabrizio Romano. He is expected to land in England to complete the transfer in the upcoming hours.
Medical tests will take place over the weekend. Once he has completed then and signed the contracts, he will be officially announced as a new player for the Premier League side.
Gustavo Scarpa plays as an offensive midfielder through the middle, but can also be used out wide. He has earned a lot of praise for his striking and playmaking capabilities. At his physical peak years, turning 29 in January, he could provide an instant impact to the team to help them survive the drop this season.
