It’s been an incredible week for Chennaiyin FC fans, and it only gets better with Gurkirat Singh joining the club on a three-year contract. The Marina Machans have been very active in the transfer window after their elimination from the ISL playoffs, and Singh is the latest to join the ranks for the club.
The 20-year-old is highly rated as a bright young prospect, and joins the club from Mumbai City FC. It will be interesting to see how things work out for him under Owen Coyle, who has been supported heavily in the transfer market by the club ownership.

The youngster has made 11 appearances in Sky Blue this season, scoring one goal. He has represented India at various youth levels, and could have a more important role at Chennaiyin from next season.
The Chandigarh born left-winger has been with City since 2021 and has a lot of natural talent. Under Owen Coyle, he could come into his own with the manager’s reputation of developing players under his watch.
Chennaiyin FC have already signed Mandar Rao Desai, Laldinpuia, Elsinho and Chima Chukwu to bolster their squad. And with Gurkirat Singh also joining their ranks, it looks like a squad capable of challenging for the top spots next season.
