Guido Rodriguez is set to join West Ham United on a free transfer after leaving Real Betis. The defensive midfielder has agreed to a contract with the Hammers and will complete his medical for the transfer shortly.
Once the formalities have been completed, he will be officially announced as a new signing for the club. The tests are scheduled today, and the confirmation could arrive as soon as the end of the day.

Rodriguez, available as free agent after leaving Betis and Barça verbal agreement collapsed in June.

The Argentine was a part of the squad that won the Copa America this summer, as well as in 2021. Overall, he has made 30 appearances for the Albiceleste, scoring one goal so far.
For Real Betis, he made 173 appearances in four years, and is now set to make the move to the Premier League in what will be his second club in Europe. There were talks that Guido Rodriguez could go to Barcelona, but they fell through after Xavi was sacked as the head coach.
As a result, West Ham have emerged as the beneficiaries, bringing in an experienced and capable player to reinforce their midfield.
