The wait is finally over. Rockstar Games has officially confirmed GTA VI’s India pricing, and pre-orders are live right now for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Here’s everything you need to know before you hit that buy button.

## How Much Will GTA VI Cost in India?

Rockstar has [officially confirmed pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI](https://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/5171972o3ak5oa/pre-order-grand-theft-auto-vi-on-june-25) starting June 25, ending months of speculation. The Standard Edition is priced at ₹5,999, while the Ultimate Edition will set you back ₹7,499 — making GTA VI one of the priciest console games to launch in India.

For context on how this stacks up against other big titles, our [PS5 games price guide](https://technosports.co.in/) breaks down what Indian gamers usually pay at launch.

## Standard vs Ultimate Edition: What’s the Difference?

| Detail | Standard Edition | Ultimate Edition |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Price (India) | ₹5,999 | ₹7,499 |
| Base game | Yes | Yes |
| Vintage Vice City Pack | Included (pre-order bonus) | Included |
| Ultimate Edition Upgrade | No | Yes (extra vehicles, weapons, outfits) |
| GTA+ subscription | Not included | 1 month free (digital only) |
| Platforms | PS5, Xbox Series X/S | PS5, Xbox Series X/S |
| Release date | November 19, 2026 | November 19, 2026 |

If you mainly care about the story and world, the Standard Edition covers you fine. The Ultimate Edition is for fans who want extra cosmetics and a small head start from day one.

## Where to Pre-Order, and a Few Catches

You can pre-book GTA VI through the [PlayStation Store](https://www.playstation.com/), Xbox/Microsoft Store, the Rockstar Store, and select retail partners across India. Worth noting: there’s currently no confirmed PC version, so console remains the only way in at launch.

Also pay attention to this if you’re buying a physical copy — retail boxes in India will only include a digital download code, not an actual disc. So functionally, every copy is a digital purchase either way.

## The Bottom Line

GTA VI’s India pricing is steep but expected for a flagship Rockstar release. With November 19, 2026 as the official launch date, early pre-orderers lock in the Vintage Vice City Pack and a head start — so decide your edition now rather than scrambling closer to launch.
