Rockstar Games’ gamble to unveil fresh **GTA 6** footage on Netflix has paid off in spectacular fashion. According to estimates from Sensor Tower, pre-orders jumped a staggering **436%** in the immediate aftermath of the August 27 Extended Look showcase, which offered fans their first real glimpse of protagonists Jason and Lucia in action.

## GTA 6 Pre-Orders By The Numbers

| Metric | Figure |
| --- | --- |
| [Total pre-orders](https://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/5171972o3ak5oa/pre-order-grand-theft-auto-vi-on-june-25) | ~4.55 million |
| Estimated revenue | $446 million |
| Pre-order jump post-reveal | 436% |
| PS5 share of pre-orders | 77% (3.51M copies) |
| PS5 pre-order spike | 606% |
| Xbox pre-order spike | 127% |
| Ultimate Edition buyers | ~90% |

PlayStation 5 is clearly winning the pre-launch battle, pulling in more than three-quarters of all pre-orders. The platform’s spike was especially dramatic — a **606% jump** on reveal day alone — while Xbox Series X/S saw a comparatively modest but still healthy 127% rise.

Nearly 90% of buyers are reportedly opting for the $99.99 Ultimate Edition, suggesting fans aren’t just curious — they’re ready to pay a premium for day-one access to everything the game offers.

It’s worth noting these numbers come from third-party tracking, not official confirmation from Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. Still, the trend lines are hard to ignore, and pre-orders are reportedly still climbing as launch day approaches.

**GTA 6** is set to release on **PlayStation 5** and **Xbox Series X/S** on **November 19, 2026**, with no PC version confirmed yet. If this momentum holds, it could become one of the biggest entertainment launches in history — gaming or otherwise.
