The wait for Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) is about to end, and the hype among fans has never been so high. Now, while Rockstar Games has remained mum on a lot, leaks, reports, and official statements have provided some clarity over what to expect. Here’s what we know so far about GTA 6, including its release window, gameplay details, price, and the arrival of the second trailer.

Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar Games’ parent company, confirmed in late October 2023 that GTA 6 was still on track without any major production setbacks. CEO Strauss Zelnick did tell IGN, though, that “unforeseen” delays could still emerge.
Barring any unforeseen delays, that means GTA 6 is expected to drop in fall 2025, with reports suggesting it will be available September 17. PC players might have to wait, though, as past Rockstar releases suggest a release window for PC from 2027 to 2028. A representative for the company also told GameIndustry.biz that GTA 6 won’t be on Game Pass at launch.
The first rendering-based official trailer confirmed the map in GTA 6 will feature a return to Vice City which will be located in a fictional state known as Leonida. A significant leak of the game’s 2022 gameplay noted the existence of two-player protagonists, Jason (male lead) and Lucia (female lead). This is the first time a GTA game features a playable female protagonist. This would mean they would have a Bonnie and Clyde-type relationship committing crimes, together. Reports also suggest the game could feature additional locations based in Florida, including the Everglades.
The first-ever GTA 6 trailer was released by Rockstar back in December 2023 and speculation for a second GTA 6 trailer has been flying around the internet. The next trailer, according to GTA VI O’Clock, a well-known community source, is in April 2025.
In The State of Video Gaming in 2025 report, industry analyst Matthew Ball said that GTA 6 may be priced over $100, this will also make it one of the most expensive mainstream games. However, the standard edition should be priced around ₹5,999 in India and special editions can be priced up to ₹7,299. Rockstar has yet to officially confirm the pricing, though.
