Latest reports point to this device being unveiled in March with sales starting maybe as early as the end of the month. Now, a new certification listing suggests that the successor to the Pixel 8a is getting closer to its official launch.

A couple of key details about the Google Pixel 9a have surfaced on EMVCo certification. Its model number is GTF7P, and its codename is TG4. The same model number was also previously proven legitimate with a leak that caught the device in the wild. As expected, the listing also confirms that the Pixel 9a will ship with Android 15 straight out of the box. Meanwhile, the other models in the Pixel 9 series debuted in August of the previous year with Android 14.

Leaks suggest the Pixel 9a will arrive earlier than anticipated, potentially launching in March with availability starting by the end of the month. The base storage 128GB storage variant of the smartphone is expected to be priced the same as the previous generation at $499. As far as specs are concerned, the Pixel 9a may boast a 6.28-inch display with a peak brightness of 2,700 nits and 1,800 nits HDR brightness.

Battery capacity is rumored to be 5,100mAh, with support for 23W wired and 7.5W wireless charging.
