The Upcoming Google Pixel 9 Series

The Pixel 9 is available in four different colorways; Porcelain, Rose, Green, and Obsidian. The design has some resemblance to the Pixel 9 Pro. It notably has two rear cameras instead of three, thicker bezels along the display, and a matte finish on its sides that sets it apart from the larger Pixel 9 Pro. The available colors are Porcelain, Rose, Hazel (green), and Obsidian for the Pixel 9 Pro. The polished metal frame is color-matched and may indeed be stainless steel, lending the device a nice quality touch.

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is depicted in Porcelain and Obsidian colors. The renders also depicted the phone unfolded, which shows off an all-new 8-inch OLED display. Allegedly, the foldable device is rumored to be remarkably thin, measuring just 5.1 mm thick when unfolded and 10.5 mm when folded.

In addition to the detailed renders, we have no further information on what these new models will cost or about their specifications. The renders do not provide further insight into the hardware or features that will be included in the Pixel 9 series. To get the full picture, we will have to wait until August 13. Google is essentially expected to launch the Pixel 9 series where it will unveil the Pixel 9, Pro, and Pro Fold on this day.

In addition to the new Pixel, Google will likely announce a premium smart device in the form of its rumored Pixel Watch 3 and upgrades over last year’s models with an updated lineup of Pixel Buds Pro. In summary, the new renders offer a good view of the design and some features for the upcoming 9 series, but we will have to wait until it goes official in order to know more about the specs and price.
