The Google Pixel 8 series has been introduced in a fresh color variant. Following a teaser last week, Google revealed the availability of the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro in a new Mint color. This marks the fourth color choice for both models.

In October 2023, the Pixel 8 was launched in Hazel, Obsidian, and Rose color options, while the Pixel 8 Pro was offered in Bay, Obsidian, and Porcelain colors. The pricing for the new Mint color remains consistent with other color variants.

The All New Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro Color

Last week, Google shared a binary code and a video showcasing the mint green color splash on the Pixel 8 Pro on its social media platforms. The binary code translated to “fresh year, fresh drop,” hinting at the new color option. Interestingly, the new Mint color will only be available in the 128GB internal storage variant for both Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. Higher storage variants will only be offered in the original color choices.

In India, the Mint color option is exclusively available for the vanilla Pixel 8 through Flipkart. The color will be exclusive to the Google Store and Google Fi in the US. Customers who have already purchased the Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 Pro can still enjoy the new colourway, as Google also offers a Mint silicone case for both phones. The Pixel 8 is priced at ₹75,999 in India for the 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage model, while the Pixel 8 Pro starts at ₹1,06,999 with the 12GB RAM and 128GB internal storage model.

As for specifications, the Pixel 8 features a 6.2-inch full-HD+ OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by the 4nm Google Tensor G3 SoC. It sports a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 12-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera. The front carries a 10.5-megapixel camera, and it is backed by a 4,575mAh battery with 27W wired charging support.

In contrast, the Pixel 8 Pro boasts a 6.7-inch Quad-HD OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, also running on the Google Tensor G3 chipset. It features a rear camera visor housing three sensors: a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 48-megapixel telephoto lens, and another 48-megapixel ultrawide camera. The device is backed by a 5,050mAh battery with 30W wired charging support.
