Google Pixel 6 Pro video recording capabilities, ultra-wide selfie camera detailed in latest leak

The highlight of the Google Pixel 6 Series is no doubt the Tensor chipset, apart from this, the camera of the device has to be the most exciting aspect of the upcoming flagship device from Google.

The latest leak of the Pixel 6 Pro suggests the return of an ultra-wide front-facing camera and details the video shooting experience.

XDA Developers have leaked details with respect to some of the Pixel 6 Pro’s video capabilities. To begin with, the 4K recording at 60FPS appears to be only available on the main wide camera with a 50MP primary sensor. The selfie camera, ultra-wide camera(12MP), and telephoto(48MP) lens are limited to 4K at 30FPS.

At 4K for 60 FPS, you get up to 7x zoom while recording in comparison to 5x today on the Pixel 5. Stepping down to 30FPS at 4K makes up to 20x zoom possible with those settings also allowing for seamless switching between all three lenses without stopping.

Another advantage of the Pixel 6 Pro over smaller phones is how the front-facing camera(12MP Sony IMX663 Sensor) looks to be coupled with an ultra-wide-angle lens in a return from the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL era.

It is perfect for group selfies or shots that also capture the background, and make for an appreciable difference. This feature has been inferred from the code in today’s report, but the exact field of view is not known.

However, an actual Pixel 6 Pro confirms that the two zoom levels are 0.7x and 1x. The regular Pixel 6 looks to have just an 8MP selfie shooter which is a bit of a letdown.
