Google’s latest smartphone launch is the Pixel 4a 5G. The smartphone was launched on 30th September 2020. After the launch of Google Pixel 4a, the tech giant was also ready to launch the Pixel 5A but it seems that this time it might not become a reality anytime sooner.

A famous tipster on Twitter who goes by the name [Jon Prosser](https://twitter.com/jon_prosser) claims that Google Pixel 5A which has the codename “Barbet” has been canceled. The reason he is putting forward is that due to chip shortage there might be a halt in the Pixel 5A rollout. He has also added that the Google Pixel 4A LTE and Pixel 4A 5G versions will be continued throughout the year. This can also mean Google might not launch the Pixel 5A by this year.
