A recent leak has revealed key camera specifications for the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, and Pixel 10 Pro XL. The Pixel 10 is upgraded in some respects, but that doesn’t carry over to the Pro and Fold versions. Based on renders of the Google Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL, they don’t seem to be changing their design much from last year’s lineup.

Google Pixel 10 Series Camera Leak Reveals Surprising Upgrades and Unchanged Pro Models

Yet on the regular Pixel 10, there seems to exist a third camera sensor, rumored to be a telephoto module. Well, thanks to Android Authority, we have some comprehensive details about the camera sensors that will be found inside these devices. The Pixel 10 will utilize a 50 MP Samsung GN8-wide, a 13 MP ultra-wide Sony IMX712 and an 11 MP Sony 3J1 telephoto module. It has an 11 MP Sony 3J1 at the front too.

Meanwhile, the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL will include a 50 MP Samsung GNV wide sensor, a 48 MP Sony IMX858 ultra-wide sensor, and a 48 MP Sony IMX858 telephoto sensor, with the same 48 MP Sony IMX858 used for the front camera. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold, on the other hand, will come with a 50 MP Samsung GN8 wide sensor, a 12 MP Sony 3J1 ultra-wide sensor, and a 12 MP Sony 3J1 telephoto sensor, along with 11 MP Sony 3K1 sensors for both inner and outer selfie cameras.

Despite having 3 sensors, the standard Pixel 10 is worlds apart from the Pro, Pro XL and Pro Fold. Google sticks with its front and rear modules sharing camera hardware as displayed in the Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL, borrowing the same sensors from the Pixel 9 series. Rather than pursuing hardware upgrades, Google is banking on the purportedly TSMC-manufactured Tensor G5 chip to boost computation.

Yet it still has quite a bit of catching up to do in terms of Qualcomm and MediaTek performance, judging by its Geekbench scores. That said, the Pixel 10 series, much like its predecessors, prioritizes AI-powered photography over sheer processing power.
